Course Overview
The Bachelor of Design (B.Des) in User Experience & Interaction Design offers an interdisciplinary, hands-on approach to innovation, focusing on design desirability, technological feasibility, and business viability. As a student, you’ll be equipped to innovate through a structured process: discovering problems through design research, understanding them through synthesis, and solving them via design and prototyping. You’ll master human-centered design principles and methods that prioritize user needs, alongside expertise in interaction design, design systems, and industry-standard quality assurance methods for user interface creation.
Through a mix of conceptual and practical projects, you’ll develop strong UX design skills. As a UX designer, you’ll use prototyping to envision how digital services can seamlessly integrate with physical products and environments. As a UX researcher, you’ll conduct usability testing to gain insights and enhance value for clients and end-users. By the program’s end, you’ll have a comprehensive portfolio showcasing your design achievements, ready to launch your career in UX design.
This program combines in-class studio work, case studies, peer learning, real-world client projects, and a work placement, all tailored to the evolving UX job market. Across eight semesters, graduates will gain diverse, in-depth workplace experiences. This course is affiliated with Mysore University through an academic partnership with Cresta School of Management.
