Course Overview
Focusing on design, this course equips students with a creative, innovative, and distinctive approach to graphic design. Our teaching methods and industry-oriented curriculum enable students to develop design skills and artistic expression that are relevant in today’s context. The program places equal importance on all essential aspects of graphic design and UI/UX design, offering students a comprehensive solution to efficiently overcome design challenges while also exploring advanced strategies to enhance their visual communication abilities.
The course begins with a foundational overview of design, setting the stage for students to become Design Thinkers or Strategists. It emphasizes developing core principles through key modules such as ‘Principles of Design,’ ‘Design Thinking,’ and ‘Interface Design,’ which provide conceptual, theoretical, and practical knowledge in Graphic Design and UI/UX. Students will also gain insights into Communication Design, the role of Advertising in various industries, essential research methods, and the analytical skills necessary to investigate consumer behavior and markets, alongside a thorough understanding of techniques for market analysis and usability.

Tools Covered in the Program: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, 3DS Max, Figma, Sketch, Axure, and Balsamiq.
Curriculum
Theory of Graphic Design
This course introduces the process of communication in everyday life. Understanding the evolution and history of print media of communication using verbal, non-verbal, audio/ visual in general. It also specifies in the usage of symbols and signage. Evolution of communication methods and mediums.
Drawing for Graphic Designers
This course covers basic drawing skills required for designers. Course introduces basic drawing skills, technical drawing, visualization skills and presentation methods. Students will be able to visualize design concepts, understand visual elements and use them appropriately, demonstrate and analyse their design skills and concepts.
Typography
This course will introduce the basic type forms, terminologies, specifications. Application of type to layout design with respect to purpose and context. Students will be able to understand and apply typography in their designs, experiment and use expressive styles and explore creative type sets. Application of Types in various contexts
Digital Media
This course introduces softwares. Course allow students to expertise in the tools and application in the Design art works and rendering the images, image manipulations, Color corrections etc.
Graphic Design Communication
This course introduces the idea of the design approach and design process involved in Graphic Design. By using basic design principles, composition techniques and layout organization on different surfaces and typologies considered in the industry. Introduces Graphic design for a contemporary communication process.
Design Project I
This course implements the subject knowledge into practice. The course deals with a hypothetical project and follows a design process while inter-relating the topics that develop along with the design process.
UI UX Modules
The semester covers the UI UX modules that includes Fondation of Design, User research and methods, Information and Interaction Design, Visual Design, User Interface Design, Design Thinking and Usability Evaluation.
Theory of Advertising
This course will introduce some of the important milestones and aspects of Advertising in the last hundred years. The course will discuss about the impact of Industrial revolution on society and Advertisement in-relation with Marketing. Different features of Advertisements and qualities and its relevance to the Modern Business trends.
Visual Communication and Media
This course covers basic of Visual Communication required for designers. Course introduce us for different forms of Communication skills and presentation methods. Students will be able to visualize design concepts, understand visual elements and use them appropriately, demonstrate and analyse their design skills and concepts
Advertising and Printing Design
This course will brief the advertising layout designs for the purposes of Institutional needs like Educational, Hospitals etc.
Illustration Techniques
This course introduces Adobe Illustrator software. Course allow students to expertise in the tools and application in the Design art works and rendering the images, Vector art etc.
Packaging and Interaction Design
This course introduces package design including various media, typography, and colour analysis. Provides field trips and interaction with industry resource people.
Design Project II
This course implements the subject knowledge into practice. The course deals with a hypothetical project and follows a design process while inter-relating the topics that develop along with the design process.
